Thai Red Cauliflower Steak

  1. Cut the cauliflower from centre and then a thick slice of it.
  2. On a medium hot pan add oil add 1 tbsp oil and then the cauliflower sauté it from both the side and then cook in a pre-heated over 180-degree Celsius for 10 minute or until fully cooked.
  3. To make the sauce, on a medium hot saucepan add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp chopped onion and 1 tbsp red peppers, Sauté for few minutes.
  4. Then add Thai curry paste sauté for another 2-3 minutes and then add coconut milk.
  5. Stir well and cook another 10 minutes until thick sauce consistency.
  6. On a different saucepan add 1 tbsp oil 2 tbsp chopped onion sauté for 2 minute then add fine beans cover and cook for 5 min, add salt require.
  7. To serve pour the sauce on centre of the plate, place the cauliflower steak at the centre, garnish with pumpkin seeds and basil leaves.
  8. Serve the saute fine beans on side.


  • Cauliflower half steak cut
  • Vegetable oil as required
  • Chopped red peppers 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onion 3 tbsp
  • Handful of fine green beans
  • Thai dragon red curry paste 2 tbsp
  • Coconut milk ¼ cup
  • Pumpkin seeds to garnish
