Veg Sushi with Wasabi Mayo

Involve your kids in making this Japanese dish. Veg Sushi with Wasabi Mayo! Don’t panic. Rolling sushi is much easier than it looks. Just gorge it.

Method

  1. Keep cooked sushi rice seasoned with rice vinegar aside. Let it cool.
  2. Usually while the rice cooks, julienne your veggies and keep aside.
  3. Mix Thai Dragon Sriracha Wasabi and Mayonnaise and keep aside.
  4. Place a square seaweed on a bamboo mat. With the help of spoon, spread a thin layer of rice on the seaweed leaving a 1 cm space on the side farthest from you.
  5. Spread the Wasabi-Mayo sauce mixture over it and top it up with veggies.
  6. Start rolling the sushi from your closest edge using bamboo mat. 2cm before the rolling ends, dip your finger in the water and spread along the seaweed. Finish rolling the sushi.
  7. Refrigerate sushi rolls for 20-30 minutes before cutting them with knife dipped in running water.
  8. Serve your sushi with leftover sriracha wasabi and roll!

Ingredients

  • 200g sushi rice (cooked)
  • 80 ml rice vinegar
  • 4 Seaweed sheets (nori)
  • 4 tbsp Thai Dragon Sriracha Wasabi
  • 2 tbsp Thai Dragon Sriracha Mayonnaise
  • 50g veggies (whatever’s available in your pantry)
